Business Development Manager

About the Role:

This Digital Marketing Intern role is designed for digital marketing post-secondary students. In this role you will take what you've been learning in class and will apply it to real business experiences.

You'll learn, but not limited to: how to source and build citations, how to develop a Google Ads campaign, how to develop a social media calendar. You'll also learn how to use various 3rd party tools like: Moz, SEMrush, Canva and more.

We don't expect you to be a digital marketing wizard, we'll support you every step of the way. We'll teach you the basics, the tricks and the foundations you'll need to be able to grow into the full time role you're seeking.

This position is home-based but we won't leave you twiddling your fingers. We'll have in-person time, phone and Zoom calls to make sure you're getting the education and experience you'll need to move ahead.

It's nice and all when other agencies say how they're passionate, people-first, love this that and the next thing... and then you get there and it's all "this feels just like the last place". That won't be us. We do good work, we live stress-free, we have some truly amazing clients, and we're gearing up to take on the rest of the industry and make our mark. You know how the Raptors toiled, worked hard, set a plan in motion and then won it all? Yup, we'll be honest, we're toiling right now but our plan is also in place and we're going to get there! We just might need you for that ride.

Who You Are:

You'll be in (or have just finished) a post-secondary education in digital marketing. You are looking to gain some short-term experience before moving into a full-time role within the industry.

What You’ll Do:

  • Research and lots of it;
  • Identify gaps in digital marketing strategies;
  • Learn how to develop digital marketing strategies for actual clients;
  • Source and build citations, write content for SEO, build new ads, etc.;
  • Shadow team members to learn their roles and how they go about their work;

What You’ll Have:

  • An open mind to learn;
  • Basic computer skills;
  • Knowledge in SEO, Paid Search, Paid Social and/or website design;
